La Manga Club offers golf, tennis and many other sports opportunities in a Mediterranean climate, and has many fine bars and restaurants.
The La Manga Club is located on Spain's south-east coast on the 'Costa Cálida' - or 'warm coast' - and belongs to Spain's Murcia region. Murcia is blessed by a year-round Mediterranean climate, with an average of 320 days of sunshine a year.
The club itself
is surrounded by rolling hills and is set in 1,400 acres of well-tended landscape,
creating a wonderfully tranquil environment.
At the centre of the resort is a five-star Hyatt hotel, with many bars and
restaurants.
La Manga Club has its own small and secluded private beach, 'La Cala'. Located at the foot of the cliffs and reached by a winding track, this secluded cove is ideal for snorkelling. There is also a sea food restaurant and bar, which is open during the summer.
The Beach Club, on the Mar Menor ('Little Sea') at Mar De Cristal ('Crystal Sea'), is more suited to children. Here you will find gently sloping, sandy beaches and a variety of water sports. There is also a children's club at La Manga, which provides a wide range of activities for children up to twelve.
If sport is your
passion, then La Manga Club is for you. Three world-class golf courses (La
Manga was voted Europe's leading golf resort in 2005) and 28 tennis courts
are perhaps the best-known facilities, but many others are also available.
If you're keen on squash, bowling, keep-fit, football, horse riding, cricket,
swimming, walking, cycling or water sports, then you will be happy here.
The luxurious spa is ideal whether you need re-energising after sport or simply
want to relax. Many football teams visit the Professional Football Centre
at La Manga Club for training. Spectating can prove entertaining and inspiring.
Within the La Manga Club, a wide range of different cuisines can be found. There are over twenty restaurants and bars on site, offering an international range of food of the highest quality.
If you venture
beyond the resort, plenty of other fine restaurants can also be found without
travelling very far, although you'll probably need to use a car or taxi to
visit them.
